Position Summary
The Practice Lead at Wells Onyx is an executive-level, entrepreneurial role designed for leaders with deep knowledge of the Madrid market. This role is integral to our growth and success, serving as the direct interface for both existing and new clients within the region. Practice Leads are on a track towards partnership and potentially managing partner roles, with a strong emphasis on merit and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Relationship Management:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients in Madrid.

    • Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with executive-level clients and stakeholders.

  2. Business Development:

    • Identify and close new business opportunities within the Madrid market.

    • Develop and implement strategies to expand the client base and drive revenue growth.

  3. Executive Delivery:

    • Ensure the highest level of service delivery to clients.

    • Oversee and manage the execution of client engagements, ensuring satisfaction and strategic alignment.

  4. Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and lead the strategic vision for the practice area within Madrid.

    • Collaborate with other leaders to drive the overall success of Wells Onyx.

  5. Team Building:

    • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of professionals to support client engagements and strategic initiatives.

    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

  6. Partnerships and Alliances:

    • Identify and develop strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance service delivery and expand the firm’s capabilities in the region.

  7. Merit-Based Advancement:

    • Demonstrate exceptional performance and contribution to be considered for partnership and managing partner tracks.

Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in management consulting, executive search, or a related field, with a proven track record of client relationship management and business development in Madrid.

  • Leadership:

    • Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on strategic delivery and team building.

  • Entrepreneurial Spirit:

    • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive growth.

  • Communication:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence executive-level clients.

  • Strategic Thinking:

    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans.

  • Results-Oriented:

    • Highly results-oriented, with a commitment to achieving exceptional outcomes for clients and the firm.

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Local Knowledge:

    • Deep understanding of the Madrid market and business environment.
