Position Summary
The Associate Vice President (AVP) at Wells Onyx is a pivotal role within our founding practice group, which acts as a catalyst for creating over 30 distinct practice groups at scale. This unique opportunity allows the AVP to engage with projects and clients across a myriad of industries and geographies. As the lynchpin of our practice group, the AVP will work closely with partners and practice leads to develop and execute new business strategies and cultivate our executive ecosystem. Additionally, the AVP will be responsible for building and nurturing partner relationships, ensuring exceptional quality in service delivery. The AVP will have 2 Delivery Leads reporting to them and will serve as a level 2 leader within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Development:

    • Collaborate with partners and practice leads to identify and develop new business opportunities.

    • Implement strategies to expand the client base and drive revenue growth.

    • Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

  2. Client Relationship Management:

    • Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with executive-level clients and stakeholders.

    • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic insights and guidance.

  3. Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and lead the strategic vision for the practice group.

    • Collaborate with other leaders to drive the overall success of Wells Onyx.

    • Align practice group strategies with the firm’s global objectives.

  4. Team Management:

    • Lead and mentor a team of professionals, including 2 Delivery Leads, to support client engagements and strategic initiatives.

    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

    • Implement professional development programs to enhance team capabilities.

  5. Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure the highest level of service delivery to clients.

    • Oversee and manage the execution of client engagements, ensuring satisfaction and strategic alignment.

    • Monitor project performance and take corrective actions as needed.

  6. Partner Relationships:

    • Build and nurture strong relationships with strategic partners.

    • Identify and develop new partnerships that enhance service delivery and expand the firm’s capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in management consulting, executive search, or a related field.

    • Proven track record of client relationship management and business development across various industries and geographies.

  • Leadership:

    • Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on strategic delivery and team building.

  • Communication:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence executive-level clients.

  • Strategic Thinking:

    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans.

  • Results-Oriented:

    • Highly results-oriented, with a commitment to achieving exceptional outcomes for clients and the firm.

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Flexibility:

    • Willingness to be located in Miami, Houston, Tallahassee, or other locations for exceptional candidates.
